Building the Future: New Executive Board Charts the Path Forward

Updated: Mar 12

As the new year begins, Kappa Sigma is entering a new chapter with the election of a new executive board. The executive board brings fresh perspectives and clear goals aimed at strengthening brotherhood, expanding community involvement, and promoting academic and personal success among its members.

Grand Scribe Ryan Diese

"I plan to hold the highest standards of organizational excellence by ensuring all records are captured with precision and clarity. I strive to help our local community and perform astronomically well during our Military Heroes Campaign weeks."

Grand Treasurer Matt Knape

"I’m focused on making our chapter finances more transparent, organized, and easy for everyone to understand. By tightening up our financial processes and communication, I want every member to know where our money comes from and how it’s used. My goal is to build trust, accountability, and a stronger chapter overall."

Grand Master of Ceremonies Jeff Merkin

"I am absolutely blessed and ecstatic to be the Grand Master of Ceremonies for our chapter for this school year. I plan to continue to foster an engaging and welcoming environment within our chapter, including a stronger focus on new member development and growing them within our chapter. I plan on increasing new member participation in fundraising and charity events, and hope to bring in the largest class in our chapter history since the founding class!"

Grand Procurator Adam Berger

"As our Grand Procurator I aim to be the backbone of our chapter, streamlining our internal operations and managing each committee chair so that they have the resources and accountability they need to succeed. Additionally I will focus on fostering brotherhood and morale, communicating between the executive board and general members to maintain a transparent, cohesive culture. Ultimately, my goal is to uphold the fraternity’s standards as well as its legacy, managing risk and administrative details so the chapter can reach its full potential."

Grand Master Sean Hagerty

"As fraternity president, my goal is to lead this chapter with a clear sense of accountability, ensuring that our daily actions consistently reflect the core values we represent. I am committed to acting as a strategic bridge between our brothers, the university, and our alumni to secure our organization’s long-term growth and stability. Ultimately, I strive to empower every member to grow as a leader while fostering a safe, inclusive environment that deepens our bonds of lifelong brotherhood."

With a new executive board in place, Kappa Sigma enters the year with clear direction and renewed momentum. As executive board works toward its goals, the organization looks to build on its foundation while preparing its members for continued growth and success.
